Our breed of gundogs exists since 1985 and from 1999 we professionaly train every breed of gundogs. In 1999 we decided to leave city, moving to the country, and buying a little farm near Grodzisk Wielkopolski in Poznań distict..All my shootig life I spended having pointers (especially german shorthair pointers) .But twenty years ago polish fields was full of partridges, pheasants and hairs. Now, my favourite sport is waterfowling And that was main reason, why in 1998 I have bought my first labrador retriever.
Before that, I had few times an opportunity to shoot driving pheasants in England. I was a member of British Association for Shooting and Conservation for two years. Watching labradors during theirs job I have been impressed in their hunting possibilities. I liked their steadiness, good nose, and love for work in bushes and cold water. In 1997 one of my british friends, shooting with me for wild gees, and seeing my frozen german pointer bitch, proposed me to help in buying a labrador in England. Why in England? Because it was problem to buy a labrador dog from real working strain in Poland that time. I was not interested in a heavy show type, without hunting possibilities. All the time I had in my mind the pictures of sporting dogs jumping with pheasants in their mouths barbwired fences. First Kennel Club standard of Labrador Retriever described it -...the ideal dog for gentleman's shooting companion..." So we decided to breed that kind of dog, and the previous sentence is the main rule in our breed. All our dogs are registered in the Polish Kennel Club, Probably, it is a little chance to make a dog of our breed a Show Champion, but few dogs of us are going to be a Field Trial Champion. We wanted to buy the first labrador dog from the famous british kennel "Drakeshead" owned by John and Sandra Halstead. But it was impossible, because to much of clients waiting for the litter. So we have bougt black puppy from the bitch sired by one of field trial champion dogs of John Halstead.
In 1998 I have got probably the best gundog in my life, black labrador dog- Cheslingter ONYX (KRUK) from Cheslingter Highborn by F.T.Ch. Aughacasla SAM of Drakeshead...
